Individual, Relationship and Family Counselling in Berkshire
Welcome to my counselling practice. Compassion is at the heart of the work I do. Whether you’re feeling anxious, low, or overwhelmed, struggling in your relationships, or your family is going through a difficult time, therapy offers a safe space to pause, reflect, and begin to let go of what’s holding you back. Together, we can explore your challenges and find new ways forward, so you feel more supported, understood, and connected.
I work with individuals, couples, and families across a wide range of challenges, including:
Whatever brings you, counselling provides a safe and compassionate space to be heard, understood, and supported.
I am a BACP-registered, trauma-informed, and systemically trained counsellor with over 30 years’ experience supporting children, young people, adults, and families. My professional background spans social care, education, and therapy, giving me a deep understanding of how personal history, relationships, and wider systems shape wellbeing.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a Family Counsellor with Relate, the UK’s leading provider of relationship support, and with ARC, a charity supporting young people’s emotional health. These roles reflect my commitment to both individual therapy and relational work, whether that means supporting a young person in crisis, helping parents and children understand one another better, or guiding couples through times of stress and change.
Being systemically trained means I look not only at individual experiences, but also at the dynamics between people and within families. This helps uncover repeating patterns in relationships and opens the door to healthier ways of connecting.
I bring extensive experience in supporting individuals, couples, and families with a wide range of personal and relational challenges. For me, it’s never about whether an issue is “big” or “small”, what matters is its significance to you. If it’s important to you, it becomes important to me.
I work with:
I also warmly welcome counselling students and people interested in therapy as part of their personal or professional development.
My role is to meet you wherever you are in your journey, valuing the experiences and challenges that are uniquely yours. I provide a warm, compassionate environment where you can feel heard, supported, and find a genuine sense of belonging.
Relationships are at the heart of what it means to be human. They can bring joy, connection, and meaning to our lives, but they can also be a source of challenge and stress. I am passionate about supporting people to get the most out of their relationships, whether you are partners, family members, friends, or colleagues.
I work with individuals, families, couples, parents and children (including teenagers), siblings, blended families, friends, and other significant relationships where people want to improve communication, deepen understanding, and work through challenges together. Using my counselling skills, and my experience in mediation, Family Group Conferences (FGCs), and Restorative Justice, I can help to support open, honest and constructive conversations. My aim is to create a safe and supportive space where each person feels heard, gains a greater understanding of the other, and can work towards shared goals.
While I’m not a specialist couples counsellor or trained in psychosexual counselling, I bring a wealth of experience in relational work and a flexible, empathetic approach to help you navigate what matters most, and build stronger, healthier connections.
My main interests include:
Relationship issues
Family dynamics
Family/partner relationships
Family/partner breakdown
Parenting issues
Co-parenting issues
Parenting teenagers
Parenting children and young people with additional needs
Health related issues
Living with disability
Self empowerment

I am here to listen without judgement, and the direction of our focus is entirely up to you. Whatever you choose to bring into our sessions will be met with acceptance, calmness, and warmth. Our counselling sessions provide a confidential and safe space for you to unpack your thoughts and feelings, process your emotions, and gain clarity in your life. I will follow your lead, ensuring we move at a pace that feels therapeutically safe and supportive for you.
I am a counsellor based in Wokingham, and I welcome clients from the surrounding areas of Berkshire, Reading, Bracknell, Windsor, Maidenhead, and Ascot.
I also work with clients from across the UK through online sessions.
I offer face-to-face appointments at the Wokingham Therapy Clinic, 49 Denmark Street.
The clinic has a unique charm and provides a calm, confidential, and pleasant setting for therapy sessions. It is easily accessible by car, bus, and train, with parking available nearby.
Please let me know if you have any mobility needs, so we can make sure the space works for you.
For those who prefer not to travel, I also provide online counselling via Zoom, offering the flexibility to access therapy from your own home (or another private space) wherever you are in the UK.
Individual sessions held as part of family or relationship counselling are charged at the individual rate of £75.
Longer sessions for couples and families allow time for everyone to be heard and supported without feeling rushed.
Counselling may be short or long term — a one-off experience or something that becomes part of your ongoing self-care. It is an investment in yourself and your future.
I offer a commitment-free 15-minute consultation by Zoom or telephone to discuss your needs in confidence. This gives us the chance to talk about what you are looking for and whether we would work well together.
I provide both brief therapy and longer-term work. Open-ended therapy offers the opportunity to go deeper and explore issues more fully.
I also offer therapy to counselling students in preparation for their therapeutic practice
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
Carl Rogers
During our work together, you may discover new aspects of yourself, similar to the benefits that come with software updates for devices. These transformations, facilitated by the complex interaction between mind and body, can significantly enhance your emotional regulation, boost self-esteem and confidence, improve mood and behaviour, and positively affect your physical health and overall well-being.
My hope is that therapy will be a consistent and comforting resource for you, available at any time and any stage in your life when you feel the need to access it.
