A Christmas wish, however you’re spending it
As the festive season arrives, I want to offer a warm and gentle Christmas wish to everyone reading this, however you are spending this time.
For some, Christmas is filled with connection, family gatherings, and shared traditions. For others, it may be quieter, more complicated, or marked by change or loss. Many people experience a mix of feelings at this time of year ; joy, reflection, relief, or sadness, and all of these responses are valid.
This season can bring family dynamics into sharper focus. Old patterns may resurface, and expectations can feel heightened. For couples, this can be a time of closeness or challenge. For parents and carers, it can bring both meaning and responsibility. For individuals, it may highlight a need for rest, space, or reflection.
If Christmas feels joyful for you, I hope you’re able to savour those moments.
If it feels difficult, please know that you’re not alone.
And if it feels somewhere in between, that is very common.
My wish for you this Christmas is simple:
that you find moments of calm and steadiness
that you feel able to do what supports your wellbeing
and that you meet yourself with kindness rather than expectation
However you spend the festive period, with family, with a partner, between homes, with friends, working, resting, or on your own, your experience matters.
With warm wishes to all my clients: those I’ve supported in the past, those I’m working alongside now, and those I may meet in the future. Thank you for the trust and openness you bring to this work.
Wishing you a peaceful Christmas and a gentle start to the year ahead.
Best wishes,
Anna
