Individual, Relationship and Family COUNSELLING BASED IN WOKINGHAM

Relationship Counselling

Relationships can be the place where we feel most loved and supported, and also where we feel most hurt and alone.

You might be stuck in the same arguments again and again, or find yourselves living more like housemates than partners.

Perhaps there’s been a break in trust, or you’re unsure whether there’s a way back to each other.

You may even be questioning whether it’s healthier to stay together or to separate.

Relationship counselling offers a safe, neutral space to step out of the cycle and look honestly at what’s happening between you.

For some couples, it’s about rebuilding closeness and finding new ways of talking and listening without blame. For others, it’s about facing the reality that the relationship may be ending, and working out how to do that with clarity, honesty, and respect.

Whatever direction you’re in, counselling can give you the space and support to make those decisions with more understanding and less pain.

I work with couples and close relationships around:

  • Arguments and communication difficulties
  • Feeling distant, unheard, or stuck in repeating patterns
  • Rebuilding trust after hurt or disappointment
  • Different needs or expectations about the future of the relationship
  • Navigating separation, divorce, or co-parenting
  • Life pressures - children, health, or work, that create distance instead of connection
  • Adjusting to major life changes such as retirement, loss or illness

Sessions

Sessions are usually 75 minutes, giving both people time to be heard. If you’d like more space to explore together, I also offer extended 90-minute sessions.

My role isn’t to take sides. I help you both notice the patterns you’ve fallen into, understand each other more clearly, and try out new ways of relating that feel healthier and more supportive.

Whether you stay together or part ways, the aim is the same: more honesty, more respect, and less conflict.

Please note: I am not trained in psychosexual therapy. If sexual issues are your main concern, you may wiah to seek support from a therpaist who specialises in this area..
